Imagine my surprise and delight when I found out that In Extra Dimension and Tres Cheek had arrived on Australian shores ahead of the US release. I raced down to the pro store like a woman on a mission – Modern Mandarin blush would be mine! I’m pretty sure as I stood there drooling over it my fingers were steepled like Mr.Burns’ as the word “excellent” echoed through my mind. I ended up getting a few other things as well. C’mon now I’m only human :)

Modern Mandarin was not as bright as I imagined it would be which was fine because it’s still super cute. It is a really pretty orange with a subtle reddish sheen and it really gives a nice glow to the cheek. My brush picked up colour quite easily and it blended very nicely. I can already tell that this is going to be one of my favorite blushes to wear. I love orange/peach blushes on my skin because they compliment the colour of it so well. The lovely lady who served me predicted that Modern Mandarin would be the one to sell out first so nab it while you can. While I was there I played around with the other blush colours but they didn’t really grab me. I think that majority of them would look great on people with lighter skin tones than my own but I might go back for another look…just to be sure ;)

The next thing I picked up was Superb Extra Dimension Skin Finish. It is a metallic rose gold colour with good payoff and loads of shine. It’s not overly glittery at all, it just leaves a light sheen on the skin and buffs away into nothing. I was happy to find out that the product was the same texture right the way through and the pretty sheen was not just an over spray. Now did I really need another highlighter? No way! I have plenty of MSF’s and such already but I thought that this was a great new product and I was impressed with the texture and hypnotized by the tiny little sparkles. They were calling out “buy me, buy me.”

My last purchase was Blue Orbit Extra Dimensional Eye Shadow. It is a fairly unique colour, with a cool sci-fi name and dreamy texture. The colour is not really blue at all so the name of the shadow is a bit deceiving. It’s more of a periwinkle like colour leaning towards purple with a violet sheen and silvery sparkles. I think that this colour will look beautiful in the tear duct area which was the main reason I bought it. The other extra dimensional shadows were all super pretty as well but I felt that I already had similar shades so I passed. I was so close to getting Lunar which is the navy blue one but I swatched it next to Deep Truth and they looked pretty much the same to me. I really like the wavy pattern on the In Extra Dimension items. It’s really quite cool to look at :)
